Tim Walden is Executive Managing Director of CRE Advanced Analytics and the specialty consulting team serving utility companies for Newmark Global Corporate Services. A 33-year corporate real estate veteran, Walden has substantial expertise in portfolio strategy and CRE analytics across all business sectors, and is the co-creator and architect of Newmark’s CRE Advanced Analytics technology platform.
Walden is an expert at developing strategies to shape the future of work, optimizing real estate to drive capital productivity, and leading corporate real estate organizational transformation for utilities clients including Southern California Edison, FirstEnergy, DTE Energy and ConEdison
Walden joined Newmark in 2010 after leading Strategic Facility Planning for General Motors (GM), where he was responsible for developing real estate strategy for GM operations. He was also appointed to GM’s Global Product Development Council and Test Lab & Proving Ground Council, were he created and developed the concept of the Architectural Homeroom, designed to support vehicle platform development.
Walden has a proven track record of leading projects that have created significant community investments. He served as an advisor to multiple bidders on the Amazon HQ2 pursuit, where his clients were recognized by Amazon identified as the top regional responses submitted. Walden also has worked with multiple economic development agencies at the city and state level to develop a target market strategy for key community assets and attract significant manufacturing investment and was invited by legislators to speak on site selection best practice.
