Second Harvest Food Bank

Newmark’s Irvine Brokerage, Property Management and Western Region Marketing teams joined the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County in preparing and packaging fresh produce for their neighbors in need.
Second Harvest Food Bank provides dignified, equitable and consistent access to nutritious food to create a foundation for community health. The organization serves more than 330,000 Orange County residents each month.

Association of Silicon Valley Brokers (AVSB) - Annual Awards Banquet

Newmark’s San Jose office raised $12,000 toward AVSB’s select charities as part of its Annual Awards Banquet. Office members raised funds through contributing to and promoting the banquet’s ticket sales, sponsorship opportunities and broker challenge.
All proceeds toward the AVSB Annual Awards Banquet are donated to charities that assist those in need throughout Silicon Valley. As of 2022, the event has raised over $2.5 million.
Gift of Adoption

Gift of Adoption

The Newmark Chicago office sponsored Gift of Adoption’s annual gala, helping raise over $420,000 in grants to complete over 100 adoptions—on track for GoA’s annual goal of 600 adoptions.
Gift of Adoption’s sole purpose is to help vulnerable children get adopted through providing adoption assistance grants, leading children to permanent families and a chance to thrive.

Harvesters

ZimmerCares, the philanthropic arm of Newmark Zimmer Kansas City, provided a total of 74,492 meals to families in the Jackson County area through Harvesters by raising $24,688, collecting 513lbs. of food and volunteering a total of 110 hours.
Harvesters is a regional food bank serving a 26-county area of northwestern Missouri and northeastern Kansas.
Bergen Casa

Bergen CASA

Members from Newmark’s East Brunswick and Rutherford offices donated toys, clothes and more to Bergen CASA to brighten the holidays for children in the foster system.
Bergen CASA is a non-profit organization that supports and promotes court-appointed volunteer advocacy for children in the foster system, helping enrich hundreds of young lives every year.

TECHO Mexico

TECHO

Team members from Newmark’s Latin America offices partnered with TECHO and local families in Mexico, Colombia, Costa Rica and Panama on a two-day mission to build houses and water filtration systems for underprivileged communities.
TECHO is a youth-led organization that works to end poverty in informal settlements across Latin America and the Caribbean.

Downtown Women’s Center

Members from Newmark’s Los Angeles office volunteered at the Downtown Women’s Center in Los Angeles, packaging over 500 meals for women experiencing homelessness.
The Downtown Women’s Center’s mission is to end homelessness for women in greater Los Angeles through housing, wellness, employment, and advocacy.

HopeKids Charity Golf Classic

Members of Newmark’s Atlanta and Nashville offices participated in the HopeKids Charity Golf Classic and raised over $3,500 to help fund Tennessee families who have a child with a life-threatening medical condition.
HopeKids provides ongoing events, activities and a powerful, unique support community for families who have a child with cancer or some other life—threatening medical condition.
Central Arizona Shelter Services

Central Arizona Shelter Services: Vista Colina Family Shelter

A team from Newmark’s Phoenix office volunteered at the Vista Colina Emergency Family Shelter for an end-of-summer party. The group brought an ice cream truck, a face painter/balloon artist, sand art crafts and backpacks filled with activities for the kids.
The Vista Colina Emergency Family Shelter houses many families in North Phoenix under the operation of Central Arizona Shelter Services (CASS).
Marin Food Bank

San Francisco-Marin Food Bank

A team from Newmark’s San Francisco office volunteered at the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank, preparing 643 boxes of food (16,000 pounds) for local senior citizens.
The San Francisco-Marin Food Bank’s mission is to end hunger in the area by addressing it head on, providing over 50,000 local households with food assistance per week.

Knock Knock Give a Sock

Newmark hosted a dinner in collaboration with Knock Knock Give a Sock at its NYC headquarters for 25 New Yorkers experiencing homelessness. Invited guests, who live in nearby shelters, shared their life stories with a full house of Newmark employees to foster community engagement and awareness.
Knock Knock Give a Sock aims to humanize homelessness by raising awareness, providing fundamental resources and organizing sock drive dinner events with companies and communities, turning sock donations into meaningful interactions.

C.H.A.M.P.S. Mentoring

The Newmark Chicago office was a Brand Sponsor at Bisnow’s Tournament of Champions 3 vs. 3 basketball tournament, with proceeds supporting C.H.A.M.P.S. Mentoring.
C.H.A.M.P.S. Mentoring is a Chicago-based mentoring program to educate and empower boys and young men of color.

The Just One Project

Newmark Property Management Team members in Las Vegas served at The Just One Project’s monthly Pop Up & Give mobile market. Volunteers at the event distributed food in a drive-thru process.

Midland County Habitat for Humanity

Newmark, as part of the Dow Corporate Facilities Team, partnered with Dow in volunteering for a Habitat for Humanity multi-family housing site project. The team worked with Midland Habitat to prepare safe, affordable housing to those in need.
Midland County Habitat for Humanity’s purpose is to provide adequate and affordable housing for Midland County, Michigan families in need.
Baby2 Baby

Baby2Baby

Baby2Baby is a non-profit that provides low-income children ages 0-12 years with diapers, clothing and all the basic necessities that every child needs. Newmark had 31 volunteers from the West LA, South Bay and LA North offices go out to Baby2Baby’s Culver City warehouse to assemble care package bundles and gift wrap holiday presents for children and families.

New York Cares

New York Cares

A Newmark team joined in the effort to revitalize parks and public spaces across the five boroughs with a winterization and cleanup of Marcus Garvey Park in East Harlem. Volunteers assisted the NYC Parks Department with tree planting, trash pick-up, weeding, mulching, pruning, and leaf and brush removal. Newmark sponsored all costs for the project coordinated by New York Cares and in association with The Partnership for New York City.
New York Cares meets pressing community needs by mobilizing caring New Yorkers in volunteer service.

Phoenix Children’s Hospital 5K

Newmark professionals participated in the PCH 5K in downtown Phoenix, helping PCH provide children and families with various programs. Phoenix Children’s is ranked as one of the best children’s hospitals in 10 different specialties.

The Salt Lake City office spent an afternoon volunteering at the Utah Food Bank assembling holiday food boxes for their annual Thanksgiving day of service.
Childrens Mercy Hospital

Children’s Mercy Hospital: Dream Big Day

ZimmerCares, the philanthropic arm of Newmark Zimmer Kansas City, participated in the Dream Big Day one-mile virtual walk to raise money for Children’s Mercy Hospital. ZimmerCares raised $47,935 for Children’s Mercy Hospital.
Children’s Mercy is a leading independent children’s health organization dedicated to holistic care, translational research, breakthrough innovation and educating the next generation of caregivers.
The Midnight Mission

The Midnight Mission

The Midnight Mission, founded in 1914, is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the homeless community throughout Los Angeles. The Newmark Downtown Los Angeles office had 29 volunteers come together to serve meals to people experiencing homelessness.

Feeding America

Feeding America

Newmark’s Midwest Capital Markets Team hosts an annual drag racing event at the Great Lakes Dragaway in Union Grove, Wisconsin for Feeding America. The team coordinated with the track to donate a portion of the admittance fee from all participants to the non-profit.
For over 40 years, Feeding America has helped those struggling with food insecurity and is the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization.

The Newmark Las Vegas Property Management Team helped to package over 2,500 meals at an event for Three Square. These meals were distributed to those in need throughout Southern Nevada.
Three Square’s mission is to provide wholesome food to hungry people, while passionately pursuing a hunger-free community.
Brooklyn Heights Community Fridge

Brooklyn Heights Community Fridge

The Brooklyn Heights Community Fridge was created by local neighbors to provide fresh food to those in need in response to a call out from a local reverend on Nextdoor. Caroline Koster spearheaded the construction and grand opening of the communal fridge alongside the city council and community volunteers. The now neighborhood fixture fridge is open 24/7 with donated fresh vegetables, snacks and soups and routinely cleaned and stocked by local volunteers.
The Brooklyn Heights Community Fridge won Nextdoor’s global #LoveYourNeighborhood award and has been featured in Real Simple Magazine.
Crossroads Community Services

Crossroads Community Services

Newmark NYC professionals participated in the first-ever Young Men’s/Women’s Real Estate Association 3 vs. 3 basketball tournament. Proceeds supported Crossroads Community Services.
Crossroads Community Services is an inclusive community that provides warm meals, healthy groceries and safe shelter for New Yorkers from all walks of life.
Las Vegas Rescue Mission

Las Vegas Rescue Mission

In conjunction with the local SIOR chapter, brokers and employees from Newmark’s Las Vegas office prepared trays of food and served them for the Las Vegas Rescue Mission.
The Las Vegas Rescue Mission serves those in need through food, shelter, daily needs and addiction recovery. LVRM helps hundreds of men, women and their children daily, and provides approximately 30,000 meals each month.
