Matt Yance joined Newmark Valuation & Advisory in 2017 and currently serves as an Executive Vice President in the firm’s New York office. In this role, Matt is responsible for business development; the assignment, management, and delivery of appraisal and consulting services; training of appraisal professionals; continuing to provide outstanding service to clients; and overseeing a team of appraisers within the offices of Newmark.
Matt also serves as the National Seniors Housing Lead for the Healthcare & Seniors Housing Specialty Practice. He oversees a team of experts with an innovative, consulting-driven approach for the purpose of delivering best-in-class valuation and consulting services for all properties belonging to the Senior Housing asset class.
Matt has worked with clients on a wide variety of senior housing and healthcare property types. Matt’s consulting and valuation experience includes, but is not limited to medical office buildings, vacant land with entitlements for senior housing, freestanding and congregate senior housing assets, as well as rental and entrance fee continuing care retirement communities throughout the Country. Matt also has experience in litigation assignments, including the preparation of appraisals and providing expert witness testimony for property tax appeals.
Matt joined Newmark from Salus Valuation Group, Inc. in 2017, a national valuation firm specializing in senior housing and healthcare. In 2019, Matt relocated to Newmark’s New York world headquarters from South Florida.

Education
Matt earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance with a focus on real estate from Florida State University. He has also completed continuing education courses annually to meet state licensing requirements. He completed several real estate courses at Florida State University as well courses and seminars sponsored by the Appraisal Institute and accredited entities.
