Ed Ezra is a Managing Director in the firm’s New Jersey office. He joined Newmark in 2019, when parent company Newmark Group, Inc. acquired RKF. Ed joined RKF with more than 35 years of experience in the retail real estate industry. His impressive career includes extensive work for leading national retailers as well as owners and developers.
Most recently a Vice President, Leasing at Vornado Realty Trust, Ed was responsible for leasing and managing over three million square feet of retail space at Green Acres Mall in Valley Stream, NY and Kings Plaza Mall in Brooklyn, NY.
Prior to that he as Real Estate Negotiator at Rainbow Apparel where he was responsible for leading the lease and renewal process for the 5-7-9 and Rainbow brands at major shopping centers in the Midwest and West regions of the US. Ed also held the position of Senior Director, Real Estate at Liz Clairborne, Inc., where he supervised all aspects of full price and outlet real estate for Juicy Couture, Kate Spade, Lucky Brand Jeans, DKNY Jeans and Liz Claiborne throughout the country, developing a strategic plan for the long range expansion. As Senior Director, Real Estate at The Children’s Place and The Disney Stores, Ed oversaw strategy development, site selection and lease negotiations in the New York Metro, Mid-Atlantic, New England, Southeast and Midwest regions of the US, as well as Puerto Rico.
Previously, in an earlier tenure with Vornado Realty Trust as Vice President, Director of Mall, Ed managed the leasing of six regional malls and their adjoining strip centers in New York and Washington, DC. He was also at Mall Properties, Inc., where he was Director of Mall Leasing and New York City Retail Property, where he orchestrated the leasing of retail centers in Louisiana, Virginia, Georgia and Long Island, NY.
Ed began his career as Lease Negotiator at B Dalton Booksellers, responsible for site selection and lease negotiations in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
Ed earned a Bachelor of Science degree from C.W. Post University. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
