Newmark Grubb Knight Frank (NGKF) is pleased to announce the recent addition of Sumner Putnam as senior managing director of the Global Corporate Services Data Center Consulting Group. Bringing nearly 10 years of experience, Sumner will be based in the firm’s Northern New Jersey office.
NGKF’s Data Center Consulting Group has emerged as a market leader for 21st century data center strategies, management, evaluations and performance. The team, led by Bryan Loewen, assists regional, domestic and multinational organizations with an array of services inclusive of all data center-related activities. The group has a unique structure, ensuring consistent service across geographies and service lines, and is renowned for creative solutions to age old problems, leveraging over 7,000 professionals around the world that make up the NGKF global real estate platform.

Putnam brings a depth of leasing experience to the Data Center Consulting Group, with a focus on the data center and office markets. Prior to joining NGKF, he served as a vice president of JLL, where he represented both tenants and landlords in office and data center leasing transactions. Putnam was a member of the firm’s Mission Critical Data Center Practice Group and worked with large clients such as HSBC, Unisys, Digital Realty Trust, IBM, Telx, Bank of America, State Street Bank and Tumi.
Prior to joining JLL, Putnam was the Business Development Manager at AccessIT (NASDAQ: AIXD) where he managed sales, marketing and future business growth operations.
Putnam began his career at Merrill Lynch.
