Newmark Grubb Knight Frank (NGKF) announced today Bart Drummond has joined its Washington, DC office as executive managing director. Drummond brings 20 years of experience specializing in all facets of client representation, including strategic consulting, acquisitions and dispositions, site selection consultation and negotiating complex transactions. In his new role, Drummond will focus exclusively on tenant representation throughout the Washington metropolitan area.
“Bart brings an excellent track record of delivering results for his clients,” said Brendan Owen, chairman and asset services for NGKF. “With extensive experience in public incentive negotiations and comprehensive multi-market transaction management, Drummond will be a beneficial negotiator, transaction manager and knowledgeable leader for the Washington, DC office.”
Drummond previously served as executive director with Cushman & Wakefield’s Tenant Advisory Group. His clients have included Catalyst Health Solutions, Blackboard, Pentagon Federal Credit Union, Ernst & Young, Booz Allen Hamilton, and The Washington Post.
Drummond formerly served on the board of trustees for the Sibley Memorial Hospital Foundation as well as the board of directors for the Greater Washington Commercial Association of Realtors from 2006 to 2008. Drummond earned a Master of Science degree in real estate from Johns Hopkins University. In 2001, he received the John Hopkins University Real Estate Institute Mueller Award, which distinguishes the best graduate thesis in institutional investment. Drummond also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from George Washington University.
