Newmark is pleased to announce that Jimena Sayavedra has joined the team as an associate in the company’s Chicago office. Specializing in industrial brokerage, Sayavedra will represent local and national clients, partnering with Newmark Senior Managing Director Elise Couston, SIOR, to advise clients on acquisitions, dispositions, leases and investment properties.
Bringing 13 years of industry experience to her role, Sayavedra has had substantial experience representing tenants in the sale and leasing of industrial properties. Prior to joining Newmark, she was an associate advisor with Paine Wetzel and Associates. Before starting her commercial real estate career, Sayavedra was a project manager for Stanhope Consulting, a boutique firm specializing in providing public engagement and community outreach services. She has also held various consulting and external relations roles in Chicago, where she gained immense experience in regional planning, GIS, demographic and market analysis.
“I am thrilled to be joining a team of top industrial professionals in Chicago,” said Sayavedra. “Newmark has an incredible array of resources to provide clients with first class services, and the vast national and international presence of Newmark allows me to use my bicultural and bilingual capabilities to create even more opportunities.”

She is also involved in charitable endeavors including being a director and past president of the Argentina Chicago Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that raises funds for building and renovating schools in impoverished rural areas of Argentina.
Sayavedra received her master’s degree in Urban Planning and Policy with a specialization in Economic Development from the University of Illinois at Chicago and her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina. She is a fluent speaker of both English and Spanish.
