Newmark Knight Frank (NKF) is pleased to announce the completion of renovations at Met Square as ownership welcomes EveryAction to its growing tenant roster. NKF’s Chairman Brendan Owen, Executive Managing Director Ed Clark, Director Morgan Monroe, Associate Director Kate Kaltenborn and Associate Max Planning represented the landlord group of Boston Properties, Blackstone & EQ Office in the transaction.
Met Square is located at 655 15th Street NW and encompasses 670,000 square feet over 12 floors. The Platinum Wired Score and LEED-certified property recently underwent a $60M renovation to include all new lobby finishes, atrium, facade glass and mechanical systems as well as adding a 15,000-square-foot Amenity Zone complete with a tenant lounge, fitness center, conference facility, collaboration zones and tenant-only concierge services. The property features a stunning new penthouse rooftop terrace for tenants with sweeping views of the White House, Treasury Building, Old Executive Office, National Mall, Washington Monument, Jefferson Memorial, Lincoln Memorial and the Potomac River.
The location of Met Square offers direct access to area amenities including Old Ebbitt Grill, MXDC Restaurant, Swings Coffee and Bright Horizons childcare facility, The Hamilton Restaurant and The Hamilton Live music venue. The property features three levels of underground parking with valet, car charging stations and a new bike storage facility and is located just one block from the Metro Center Station (Blue, Orange, Red and Silver Lines).
EveryAction is a leading provider of software serving over 15,000 nonprofits. The firm has grown into one of the largest and fastest-growing providers of digital, fundraising and organizing SaaS tools to nonprofits and progressive campaigns. EveryAction has over 300 employees and is relocating its Washington, DC headquarters from 1445 New York Avenue to an expanded 34,780-square-foot space at Met Square.
“EveryAction is a young organization that has nearly doubled in size and they needed to relocate into a more efficient space,” said Owen. “Once they toured Met Square and saw firsthand its new energy stemming from the extensive renovations, added amenities and ideal location they felt this would make a great next home for their HQ.”
Andy O’Brien and Steve Spartin of JLL represented the tenant.
