Jon Bourbeau, a vice chairman with Newmark Grubb Knight Frank (NGKF) in Miami, was named 2012 Office Broker of the Year by the South Florida chapter of NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association. Selected among finalists across all disciplines within the office sector-including tenant, agency and investment sales representatives-Mr. Bourbeau was recognized for his successful completion of 21 tenant representation transactions in South Florida. Combined, these transactions totaled 450,000 square feet and were valued at approximately $150 million.
“Jon embodies all of the values that are important to NGKF and is widely respected in the commercial real estate community,” said NGKF CEO Barry Gosin. “His creativity in executing the most complex of transactions is exceptional, and he works incredibly hard to deliver the best solutions to his clients. He is very deserving of this award.”
During his career, Mr. Bourbeau has been involved in the leasing of over 20 million square feet for some of the region’s largest tenants, with his work in the South Florida market representing a core area of his practice.
“I’m pleased to accept this award on behalf my local and national team members,” stated Mr. Bourbeau. “Our strategic growth and expanded platform strengthens the tactical services deployed to our client base, and the corresponding gain in market share as evidenced by this award.”
