Norm Taylor serves as President & Country Head for Canada at Newmark. Based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Taylor is responsible for Newmark’s day-to-day brokerage operation in Canada, including strategic direction, business development, delivery of client service, recruitment, mentorship and retention of professionals. A top-performing industry veteran, Taylor brings 28 years of experience in sales, leasing, finance and executive leadership.
Before joining Newmark, Taylor served as Vice President of National Advisory and as Vice President & Managing Director of Real Estate Finance for the British Columbia Region at CMLS Financial. In this capacity, he was responsible for the strategic direction, business development and delivery of client service of the National Advisory team, as well as the company’s expansion and growth of the commercial brokerage and lending business in Western Canada. Prior to joining CMLS, he served as Executive Vice President & Managing Director for the British Columbia Region at CBRE, Senior Vice President at JLL and Vice President at Colliers International.

Education
Taylor earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia. He also received a Managing Brokerage License for Real Estate Trading Services, a Real Estate Salesperson’s License and a Sub-Mortgage Brokerage License from the Sauder School of Business at UBC.
