Todd Eschelman is an executive managing director in Newmark’s Sacramento and Roseville offices. An office properties specialist, Mr. Eschelman represents both landlords/tenants and buyers/sellers throughout the Sacramento metropolitan area. During his 28-year tenure with Newmark, he has been involved in more than 1,200 transactions valued in excess of $1.7 billion in lease and sale consideration.
Mr. Eschelman is one of the most active agents in Sacramento, averaging more than 55 transactions annually. Tenant representation clients include Anheuser Busch, MAXIMUS, Inc. and NEC Corporation of America. Significant landlord representations include Parmer West, a 10-building, 530,000-square-foot office campus; and Basin Street Properties, with more than 1.2 million square feet in multiple projects throughout the region. Ownership clients are both institutional in nature and local developers, which gives Mr. Eschelman a broad spectrum for serving clients’ needs. Clients include Basin Properties, Karlin Real Estate (Los Angeles, CA), KBS Realty Advisors (Newport Beach, CA), Swift Realty Partners (San Francisco, CA), and Basin Street Partners (Reno, NV).
Mr. Eschelman has consistently ranked among the top performers in Newmark’s Sacramento office (45 agents between the Sacramento and Roseville offices). In 2006 and 2008, Mr. Eschelman was awarded the Association of Commercial Real Estate’s (ACRE’s) Brokers’ Choice award. The award, which is only voted on by peers in competitive brokerage houses, recognizes the broker who most exemplifies professionalism, ethics and the spirit of cooperation while working through commercial real estate transactions. Mr. Eschelman has also been nominated multiple times for Business Journal’s Office Broker of the Year award, which is given by the ACRE. In 2007, Mr. Eschelman was hired by Blackstone as the local office specialist to spearhead a team of agents in assisting investment powerhouse Eastdil Secured (San Francisco office) with the largest single office disposition in Sacramento history. The transaction comprised 32 buildings totaling in excess of $700 million in transactional value. Mr. Eschelman’s team represented the suburban properties that were the majority of the portfolio. Prior to joining Newmark, Mr. Eschelman was an office building specialist with Norris, Beggs & Simpson’s Sacramento office from 1990 to 1992. He also completed an office specialist training program with Coldwell Banker Commercial (now CBRE) in the Orange County metro office (1989 - 1990).
