J.P. Champine joined Newmark in 2020 and currently serves as a Managing Director in the company’s Southfield, Michigan, office division. As a 15-year corporate commercial real estate veteran, Mr. Champine has substantial expertise in tenant and agency representation. He specializes in corporate acquisitions, dispositions and lease renewals of office and medical properties. He has conducted more than 375 transactions that are worth in excess of $500 million.
Previously, Mr. Champine served as an Executive Vice President for twelve years with JLL and The Staubach Company prior to their merger. In this capacity, he was responsible for the development and maintenance of JLL’s corporate clientele. He provided representation for diversified account sectors where he was instrumental in facilitating key leasing and sale transactions throughout each of their portfolios.

Mr. Champine earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Western Michigan University’s Haworth College of Business in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He currently has a real estate license in the State of Michigan and is a candidate for his CCIM designation.
