LONDON, UK (11 February, 2026) - Newmark announces the expansion of its UK Valuation business, hiring residential valuation experts Lindsey Lock and Dan Scott as Partners, Laura Wheatley as an Associate and Oliver Light as a Surveyor. The appointments further strengthen Newmark’s regional coverage and enhance its residential and living-sector capabilities.
Lock and Scott will play a central role in broadening and strengthening Newmark’s regional coverage with a particular focus on the Home Counties, Eastern Region, London Fringe and South Midlands, supporting growing demand for valuation advice across the living sectors, development markets and commercial investment. In addition, Laura Wheatley will bolster the firm’s residential development and living‑sector valuation capability in London, while Oliver Light will support the residential single‑asset and investment valuation offering.
This follows the recent appointment of several Retail and Central London Valuation hires, growing the firm’s integrated valuation capabilities across regions and asset classes.
“Further expanding our rapidly growing regional business is a key priority for valuation in the UK,” said Jonathan Godfrey, Head of UK Valuation at Newmark. “This investment reinforces our ability to deliver consistent valuation advice across regional markets, through best-in-class experts, supported by an established and integrated UK operation.”
Scott and Lock join from BNP Paribas Real Estate, where they were Senior Directors within the Regional Valuation team, with Scott also serving as Head of Valuation for the Eastern Region. Their combined expertise spans traditional commercial assets, residential development and the living sectors – including purpose‑built student accommodation, private rented sector / build to rent, co‑living and residential investment blocks. Wheatley also joins from BNP Paribas Real Estate and brings nearly a decade of experience from the Prime London Residential Valuations and Development Valuations teams, and Light joins from Lamberts Chartered Surveyors with nearly four years’ experience supporting residential valuation instructions.
Godfrey added: “Together, these appointments form part of our wider UK Valuation business, delivering advice across mainstream sectors. By combining strong regional expertise with our established London presence, we are well positioned to deliver high-quality, consistent advice to clients across the UK.”
