CARDIFF, UK (February 2, 2026) — Newmark has been instructed to market the leasehold interests of two landmark visitor destinations in Wales on behalf of Natural Resources Wales (NRW): Coed y Brenin Visitor Centre in Gwynedd and Bwlch Nant yr Arian Visitor Centre in Ceredigion. Leo Llewellyn, Associate in Newmark’s UK Leisure team, is leading the marketing of both opportunities.
The marketing process forms part of NRW’s wider approach to securing the long-term future of these nationally important sites, with a focus on identifying partners who share a strong commitment to wildlife conservation, sustainable land management and responsible public access to nature.
Llewellyn commented: “These sites are part of Wales’ natural heritage, with long-term wildlife preservation at their core. They offer incredible opportunities for operators to create memorable visitor experiences, boost local communities and champion sustainable tourism that respects sensitive natural environments.”
Coed y Brenin Visitor Centre
Located in the heart of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, Coed y Brenin is a pioneer in outdoor recreation, serving as Britain’s first purpose-built mountain biking centre. Set within 9,000 acres of forest, the site offers over 130 kilometres of trails for mountain biking, walking and trail running, alongside a circular timber-framed visitor centre and a 4,000 square foot sustainable extension building. Facilities include a café, bike hire shop and conference space. The opportunity also encompasses potential development opportunities, offering scope for innovative leisure or hospitality ventures.
Bwlch Nant yr Arian Visitor Centre
Located in the Cambrian Mountains, Bwlch Nant yr Arian is renowned for its red kite feeding station and diverse outdoor activities. The centre features a modern timber-framed visitor building, events space, bird hide, play areas and a skills park, complemented by approximately 80 kilometres of promoted trails for mountain biking, walking and running. With outstanding views of Cardigan Bay, this flagship destination combines nature, adventure and sustainability.
Neil Stoddart, Head of Sustainable Commercial Development at NRW said: “Using a commercial service framework, we are pleased to be working with Newmark. The aim is to find long-term, sustainable partners to protect and enhance the natural environment and benefit local communities, local businesses and visitors.”
