Newmark announces the strategic appointment of Dr. Yasmeen Coning as Executive Vice Chairman to its Occupier Solutions advisory practice, marking a new chapter in the firm’s consulting capabilities. Dr. Coning is a globally recognized expert in business transformation and organizational behavior, bringing decades of experience helping Fortune 500 C-suite leaders navigate complex change, while improving enterprise performance across sectors including finance, technology, healthcare, hospitality, consumer goods, media and more. Her work bridges business and human behavior, helping organizations elevate leadership effectiveness, strengthen culture alignment and achieve measurable business outcomes.
In her new role, Dr. Coning is responsible for helping to accelerate the growth of Newmark’s advisory offerings, advancing the firm’s vision to redefine consulting for the next era, where the workplace sits at the heart of transformation. She will work closely with Newmark’s global strategy consultants to shape and expand an integrated consulting model that unites research, behavioral science, brand and business strategy, as well as AI-driven transformation to deliver tailored insights and measurable outcomes engineered to excel for clients. Newmark is building a consultancy that will holistically align people, purpose, place, and brand, creating a new paradigm that positions organizations for impactful innovation and enduring success.

Her work applies advanced statistical methods to enable organizations to translate behavioral insights into measurable results. This evidence-based foundation strengthens Newmark’s ability to deliver strategic guidance that is both analytically precise and people-centric.

She is the architect and leading global scholar of Collective Organizational Identification (COI), the next major innovation in organizational science that moves beyond traditional engagement models toward identification as the true driver of employee performance. She is also the Founder and Chairman of the Board of EMBER, a proprietary platform born from the culmination of her doctoral research. Dr. Coning holds a Bachelor’s degree from Boston University, a Master of Science from Columbia University, and both an MBA and a Doctorate from Pepperdine University.
