Sarah is a Partner in our Energy & Infrastructure team at Newmark. She is a Chartered Surveyor with over 15 years experience in the UK market. Sarah specialises in providing thoughtful real estate solutions to the power sector, from land acquisition and disposal to strategic consultancy to development and investment funding advice.
We are working at the leading edge of the energy transition, advising on sectors including nuclear (SMR/AMR), CCGT with CCS, carbon capture, BESS, data centres, hydrogen, wind, solar, e-mobility and closure and repurposing of retired power stations.
The services we provide span development and land transactions, business rates, capital markets, valuations, lease advisory and planning. We also see this growing sector as an alternative real estate investment class with a huge opportunity for investors to deploy capital into the Net Zero transition over the coming decade. We work across the UK and increasingly overseas.
Our national energy team advises some of the sector’s leading names:
- SSE
- Centrica
- EDF
- Uniper
- Orsted
- RWE
We are also advisors to Energy UK, Solar Energy UK and the Energy Networks Association.
The energy transition also has wide ranging implications for traditional real estate sectors and we are working with our landlord and occupier clients to understand how our offices, communities and logistics park will need to adapt to be Net Zero ready.
If you would like to hear more about my role, team or collaborate on any of the issues highlighted, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
