I am a Senior Associate in Newmark’s Planning and Development team, having moved into private practice following 20 years in local government in London, most recently at the GLA, advising both the former and current mayors on a wide range of referable, strategic planning applications across Greater London.
Large-scale regeneration projects as well as residential-led and mixed-use schemes across London are my core area of expertise, having worked on numerous strategic brownfield sites around the South Bank, Vauxhall and Nine Elms. I have a unique and deep understanding of policies, politics, and priorities across the London boroughs.
My previous Senior Officer role at City Hall required significant engagement with the Mayor and Deputy Mayors on a day-to-day basis, as well as borough leaders, senior Council officers, and other stakeholders, giving me a unique insight and understanding of regional and local government procedures and protocols.
Key projects
- Atlas Wharf – I supported Pocket Living in bringing forward proposals for their first Built to Rent scheme in Old Oak Common. The scheme comprises a 30-storey building with 436 homes and significant public realm adjoining the Grand Union Canal in the OPDC opportunity area.
- 12-20 Wyvil Road – I advised London Square on their planning application to bring forward a long vacant site in the Vauxhall Nine Elms Opportunity Area through an optimised mixed-use scheme in a 36-storey development with 350 homes and commercial space.
- 100 Chalk Farm Road – I assisted Regal London in securing planning permission for their student accommodation development adjacent to the Roundhouse in Camden.
