Sam is a chartered town planner and Associate within the Newmark Planning and Development team based in the West End. He provides town planning advice to a variety of developers and businesses in relation to commercial, educational, residential and mixed-use developments.
Sam’s work involves providing local and strategic planning advice, pre-acquisition advice, preparing representations, negotiating with planning officers, preparing, submitting and monitoring applications and working alongside and instructing other members of multi-disciplinary development teams. He has extensive experience of providing town planning advice on development projects, both within Central London and several Outer London Boroughs.
Since joining Newmark in 2020, Sam has had a particular focus on projects within Westminster and Camden, including South Molton Triangle for Grosvenor Britain & Ireland, the Estate Strategy for UCL, 217 Harrow Road for Stories/St Mungo’s, Camden Market and Buck St Market for LabTech, and Strand Main Campus for KCL.

Recent projects
- South Molton Triangle – advising on major mixed-use redevelopment for Grosvenor Britain & Ireland in Westminster including office, residential, educational & training, pub, hotel and retail uses.
- UCL Estates Strategy – advising UCL on their estates strategy including obtaining planning permissions to meet increasing student numbers, as well as providing planning advice on their existing property portfolio comprising a number of listed buildings.
- KCL Strand Campus – Assisting KCL in delivering significant educational improvements to their Strand Campus through the approval of several planning applications and listed building consents. This has included refurbishments works to the Quadrangle, as well as improvements to the South West Block teaching areas.
