Based in Newmark’s Glasgow office in the Business Rates team, Renzo brings experience from over 3 decades working in Local Government, most recently as Assessor and Electoral Registration Officer for Lanarkshire. His experience spans a variety of property types including retail, office, industrial, public buildings and specialist utility subjects.
Renzo is an experienced expert witness, appearing before valuation appeal committees and the Lands Tribunal for Scotland.
As a Valuer within the Specialist Valuation Unit at Lanarkshire Valuation Joint Board, he was responsible for the valuation and appeal settlement of subjects including electricity generation from Landfill Gas, Coal, Gas and Biomass. he was the Scottish Assessors Association (SAA) practice note author for Wind Farms at both the 2010 & 2017 revaluation and led negotiations on behalf of the SAA with a variety of private rating agents to agree the practice note.
