Martin is a Partner within our Glasgow office with responsibility for valuation services in Scotland. He has extensive experience providing valuation advice to clients in all sectors of the market. Since joining Newmark, he has gained considerable experience in the preparation of valuations for accounting purposes and financial statements within both the public and private sector. He also has experience of valuing for loan security purposes and of preparing development appraisals. Mark is an RICS Registered Valuer.
Martin has extensive experience undertaking valuations across Scotland and has undertaken a number of loan security valuations on a variety of property types including commercial property and development sites on behalf of clients including banks and building societies such as Santander, HSBC, QNB, Nationwide and RBS.
Over a number of years, he has gained a strong reputation overseeing valuations for accounts and general purposes of commercial and specialised properties in Scotland for a range of public sector clients such as NHS Lanarkshire, NHS Shetland and NHS Orkney as well as the Universities of Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling, West of Scotland and Queen Margaret.
A unique valuation that he undertakes, is of the landside assets of Highlands and Islands Airports. He provides asset valuation services to East and West Dunbartonshire Councils and has provided asset valuation advice to South Lanarkshire and Ayrshire Colleges.
Martin has a strong track record on Asset Valuations which primarily relate to specialised medical or further education buildings and as such he has gained considerable experience of undertaking DRC valuations and complex, unconventional valuations.
As a trusted advisor, Martin has retained on a 5- year contract to provide asset valuations for statutory purposes to Scottish Canals which encompasses a wide variety of operational undertakings as well as commercial and development propositions.
