Madeleine is a Senior Surveyor in the Specialist Valuation team within the Operational Real Estate Department at Newmark, based in London. She provides valuation advice to a variety of clients including NHS trusts, universities, museums, charitable trusts and local authorities. She is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and an RICS Registered Valuer.
Much of Madeleine’s work focuses on providing specialist asset valuations for financial reporting purposes, largely using the Depreciated Replacement Cost (DRC) method of valuation. These assets comprise a variety of property types including clinical, industrial, residential, office, museum and educational facilities.
Madeleine has assisted in providing capital valuations for over 15 NHS Trusts including the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, Central North West London NHS Foundation Trust and the London Ambulance Service.
Other recent instructions include university valuations for Pembroke College, the University of Sheffield and Kings College London, which largely comprise higher education and student residential accommodation. She has also assisted with museum valuations for the Royal Armouries and the Science Museum.
Madeleine has performed impairment reviews for university and NHS clients, recently advising on the likely impairment that will arise from the proposed 18,000 sq ft Children’s Cancer Centre scheme at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
She has assisted with providing audit support to accountancy firms including Grant Thornton on local authority valuations.
