Based in the West End, Julian is a Partner working within our Leisure department. Drawing on his extensive experience in the leisure sector, he advises occupiers and owners on a broad range of property issues including lease consultancy, rating, valuation, and occupational agency. Much of his work is focussed on the public house and bar sectors including the late-night economy.
Julian carries out rent reviews and lease renewals for tenants and landlords on leisure property, particularly on pubs, restaurants, nightclubs, and health and fitness clubs including preparation of third-party submissions. He values bars, restaurants, pubs, and other leisure property for financial reporting and loan security throughout the UK and Channel Islands. He brokers leisure property for sale or lease, focussing particularly on licensed property.
Recent projects
- Valuation and due diligence advice – Julian has provided advise to lending institutions, leisure companies and investors on secured lending and potential acquisition and disposal of portfolios of public houses, nightclubs, bars and leisure property across the UK.
- Selling agent – Julian worked on successful disposals including the Capitol cinema in South East London and the London Fields taproom and brewery in East London.
- Rent reviews and lease renewals – Julian has carried out rent reviews and lease renewals on behalf of Arch Company of various gyms, pubs and bars in railway arches and freestanding buildings.
