Ben is a Senior Associate in our Building Consultancy team based our Manchester office. He brings a wealth of experience within the commercial property market in the retail, industrial, office, leisure, healthcare and education sectors to the role.
Ben specialises in technical due diligence, construction monitoring, landlord and tenant advice including dilapidations and schedules of condition, party wall advice, defect diagnosis and repair, contract administration, and reinstatement cost assessments.

Recent projects
- Construction Monitoring – Ben undertakes construction monitoring of proposed developments within the healthcare, education, retail and industrial sectors. I have advised Triplepoint Social Housing REIT regarding Forward Funded developments across their portfolio in the North of England totalling £6 million. His involvement includes the initial scheme appraisal, input into the Forward Funding Agreement, review of construction, appointment and statutory documentation, liaison with stakeholders, review of Health and Safety/site set-up and monitoring construction programme and quality from commencement through to handover.
- Dilapidations – He prepared a terminal schedule of dilapidations at a 140,000 sq ft hospital within the UK. His role included inspection of the property with a team of consultants outside of normal operating hours and preparation and negotiation of a terminal schedule of dilapidations with a value of £1.5 million.
- Technical due diligence – Ben carried out inspection and preparation of a building survey relating to a 260,000 square ft industrial building in Yorkshire prior to the acquisition of a ten-year FRI Lease. His role included identification of significant defects, negotiation of a schedule of repairs with the Landlord and monitoring the agreed works prior to lease commencement.
