Natalie Cico operates as Vice President of Property Management Services based out of the Chicago, Illinois office. In this role, Cico is responsible for Newmark’s property management operations and staff in the Chicago market, partnering with the company’s local leasing and investment sales professionals. Additionally, Cico will further collaborative strategies and operational efficiency for prospective client and business development efforts to grow Newmark’s management portfolio. With over 23 years of experience and a diverse background in real estate, as well as property management, Cico’s property management leadership and deep expertise with property owners offers her clients a strategic and valuable perspective that prioritizes asset management, cross functionally and results in best-in-class solutions. She emphasizes a broad, yet creative approach to property management, looking beyond daily operations to find hidden value within an asset.
Prior to joining Newmark, Cico was the Vice President of Property & Asset Management for VEREIT, Inc., with direct operational and financial oversight of a 55 million-square-foot, 255-asset, Class A office, industrial and retail portfolio valued at $3.5 billion. Leading a large team of personnel across the country, she implemented long-range real estate strategies and solutions to optimize profitability and streamline processes.
Cico also instructs for BOMA Suburban Chicago; sits on the Education Committee; participates in BOMA’s Mentorship program; and has developed course curriculum for BOMI International, of which the content covers topics such as: budgeting and accounting, asset management, real estate investment and finance, leasing and marketing for property managers, as well as managing the organization. During her tenure, she previously held positions for Marcus & Millichap as a commercial real estate investment broker, and Jones Lang LaSalle America’s as the North district area manager.
