Mark Spangenberg

Mark Spangenberg is Chief Operating Officer of Newmark Germany, responsible for overseeing central corporate functions, implementing the firm’s growth strategy and supporting the development of business lines across the country. Based in Munich, he works closely with Country Managing Director Marcus Lütgering on strategic corporate development and serves as the key interface with Newmark’s U.S. headquarters on operational matters.

Spangenberg brings more than 25 years of leadership experience across the real estate, finance and payments sectors. Prior to joining Newmark, he served as COO for CBRE Germany for nearly a decade, where he oversaw corporate functions including finance, HR, legal, compliance, marketing and administration, driving the strategic development of the German business. Before CBRE, he was COO for EVO Payments (now Global Payments) in Europe and held senior management roles at Deutsche Bank subsidiaries, including Deutsche Card Services, where he led global product management, merchant acquiring, risk management and compliance functions.

Education
Spangenberg obtained his degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Hamburg University of Technology.
