Justin DiMare joined Newmark in 2003 working in asset management at the firm’s New York headquarters. Since 2005, DiMare has been with Capital Markets, where he specializes in investment property sales and development advisory services within the New York Metropolitan Area. He also focuses on representing local, medical and educational institutions.
DiMare is an integral member of the Capital Markets team of professionals, with institutional clients such as Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) and Mount Sinai Medical Center. He has been involved in the completion of sale and lease transactions valued in excess of $5.0 billion of transactions. He is the recipient of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY)’s Most Ingenious Deal of the Year award for orchestrating a complex, multi-layered site swap on the Upper East Side between MSKCC, City University of New York, and the NYC Department of Sanitation, allowing for the development of a 1.1 million-square-foot project new MSKCC hospital and Hunter College nursing school at 525 East 73rd Street, in addition to the NYC Economic Development Corp’s acquisition of the site at 425 East 25th Street.
He also recently completed a landmark ground lease of 150,000 SF commercial site of 61 Ninth Avenue to Vornado and Aurorate Capital in NYC’s meatpacking district and the Bronx’s largest land sale at 586 River Avenue to Success Academy.
