Jonathan Mazur is Newmark’s Executive Managing Director, National Research. He manages a team of more than 75 market analysts nationwide, who are dedicated to supporting Newmark’s brokerage professionals. A respected market analyst with 20 years of experience, Mazur also oversees New York City’s regional research in support of the firm’s brokerage, marketing and business development initiatives, identifying market trends and establishing standards and best practices. Mazur joined Newmark as Director of Capital Markets Research in 2013.
Mazur has been instrumental to the growth of Newmark’s research platform and products. His customized current and historical market analysis and reports have been invaluable resources for clients, including SL Green, L&L Holdings, Vornado Realty Trust, Invesco, Hines, Brookfield Properties, Trinity Real Estate, The Carlyle Group and Goldman Sachs. Notably, he has worked with the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) and New York City’s Department of City Planning on the East Midtown rezoning plan. Mazur is a popular source with media outlets seeking insight into the real estate market.
Prior to joining Newmark, Mazur spent more than 10 years at Cushman & Wakefield, where he led a team of research specialists in identifying and analyzing commercial real estate market trends to support existing clients and attract new business. In 2004, he was recognized as the Cushman & Wakefield Employee of the Year, for managing research operations at the company’s downtown New York office.
Education
Mazur holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University. He is a licensed real estate salesperson in New York.
