Jimmy Hinton serves as Newmark’s Head of Investor Strategies. In his role, Hinton focuses on developing and delivering unique and actionable strategies for the benefit of Newmark’s clients, shareholders and professionals, and to accelerate Newmark’s efforts to be the leader in Capital Markets across the United States.
Hinton coordinates with executive leadership and senior management across all business lines. He partners with the company’s Research, Technology, Investor Relations and Finance teams to create superior data analytics that supports the work product delivered to the firm’s domestic and offshore investor clients and other stakeholders. Additionally, Hinton partners with Research to position the firm as a thought leader in the industry.
Prior to joining Newmark’s corporate management in 2020, Hinton served as Senior Managing Director, Investment and Data Analytics at Transwestern Interests, a privately held real estate services, investment management and development organization. While there, he oversaw a staff of more than 25 researchers across the country in creating new methodologies and deliverables for all the company’s business verticals.
Previously, Hinton spearheaded research and analytics at HFF before their acquisition, creating in-depth analyses of economic, property and capital market trends. He was also responsible for assisting leadership with investor relations and executing the company’s strategic initiatives. Additionally, he was elected to and served as the youngest member of the firm’s leadership team in 2016. Hinton assisted with more than 150 transactions totaling more than $4.5 billion across 20 states during his lengthy tenure. He boasts significant experience in fixed- and adjustable-rate debt, mezzanine debt, construction loans and joint-venture executions on behalf of clients engaged in the acquisition, development and recapitalization of property types, including multi-housing, industrial, office, retail, medical office and storage properties.
Education
Hinton graduated from Southern Methodist University, Cox School of Business, with a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance. He resides in Houston, Texas.
