Jay Miele is a senior managing director of Global Healthcare Services at Newmark, focusing on the team’s real estate activities for health systems, developers and institutions in the areas of portfolio strategy, asset monetization, investment sales and financings, debt and equity placements and development advisory.
Mr. Miele joined the Global Healthcare Services team at Newmark in 2019, when he left Hammond Hanlon Camp, LLC as a managing director of the firm’s real estate group. While in this position, Mr. Miele assisted in the firm’s real estate investment banking activities, including asset dispositions, sale/leasebacks, mergers and acquisitions, and institutional capital raises. His transaction and advisory experience involved all types of healthcare real estate assets, including medical office buildings, multi-specialty outpatient facilities, ambulatory surgery centers, hospitals, seniors housing, skilled nursing and inpatient rehabilitation facilities.
Prior to H2C, Mr. Miele was a senior vice president of the healthcare real estate investment banking group at Morgan Keegan, where he advised numerous for-profit and not-for-profit health systems and public and private real estate owners and developers on their healthcare real estate portfolios and development projects. Prior to Morgan Keegan, Mr. Miele was a vice president at Jones Lang LaSalle in the New York Capital Markets Group, where he was involved in the disposition of more than $2.5 billion in commercial real estate transactions across multiple asset types. Mr. Miele began his real estate career at a Washington, DC-based boutique provider of real estate investment and management services specializing in the placement and management of endowment fund capital.

Mr. Miele holds Series 7 and 63 securities licenses and is a licensed associate real estate broker in the state of New York.
Mr. Miele earned a Master of Business Administration degree from American University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
