James Wilber is a Senior Managing Director at Newmark, where he focuses on multifamily capital markets advisory. Based in Atlanta, Wilber works with institutional investors, private owners and developers on the acquisition and disposition of multifamily assets and portfolios across the Southeast and nationwide.
Wilber brings extensive experience advising clients on complex investment strategies, with deep expertise in submarket dynamics, pricing trends, capital flows and emerging opportunities within multifamily markets. Over the course of his career, he has completed more than 250 transactions totaling approximately $10 billion in volume, representing a broad range of institutional and private capital clients.
Known for his strong relationships across the multifamily investment community, Wilber has built an extensive network of owners, developers and capital partners, providing clients with access to both marketed and off-market opportunities. His experience across multiple market cycles enables him to provide strategic guidance to clients navigating acquisitions, dispositions and portfolio strategies in evolving market conditions.
Wilber joins Newmark as part of the firm’s continued expansion of its multifamily capital markets capabilities in Atlanta and across the Southeast.

Wilber obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama.
