Gregg Wassmansdorf is senior managing director in Newmark’s Global Corporate Services division, market leader for Global Corporate Services in Canada and shares responsibility for sales, service delivery and platform development at Newmark Global Strategy, the company’s corporate consulting practice.
In his management consulting capacity, Mr. Wassmansdorf works with his corporate clients across all functional areas of the enterprise to address challenges related to global portfolio strategy; business location strategy and site selection; supply chain planning; facility portfolio and footprint optimization; economic incentive negotiation and procurement; workplace strategy; property transaction execution; and capital project implementation. His experience spans the asset mix found within large companies: head offices, shared services hubs, call centers, data centers, manufacturing plants and distribution facilities.
Mr. Wassmansdorf is a trusted advisor to corporate clients in a wide variety of industries, including aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, other advanced manufacturing, data centers, financial and business services, engineering, food and beverage, life sciences, warehouse/distribution and others. His clients include private and public companies with global interests. He takes pride in his ability to help clients conceive and implement logical and defensible real estate solutions that reduce decision risk, and he proudly points to hundreds of millions of dollars in savings on past projects.
Additionally, Mr. Wassmansdorf has advised senior and lower levels of government on management and site selection in support of their economic development strategy, investment attraction initiatives, and regional & community competitiveness assessments. He is regularly called upon by investment promotion and economic development agencies for his expert opinions.

Education
Mr. Wassmansdorf graduated from Queen’s University with his Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in urban and economic geography. He then secured a national fellowship and relocated to Los Angeles to earn his master’s degree in geography from the University of Southern California (USC). He further pursued doctoral studies in urban geography, regional economics, industrial location theory and urban planning at USC, UCLA and the University of British Columbia. Mr. Wassmansdorf has continued his professional development through course work with such real estate organizations as the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) CCIM Institute, Canadian Institute of Management Consultants (CMC) and CoreNet Global.
