Chris Benton serves as a Senior Managing Director at Newmark and is based at the firm’s Century City office. Benton was brought to Newmark to expand and drive Newmark’s multifamily platform in Southern California and partners with Anthony Muhlstein, Kevin Shannon and Ken White. He specializes in institutional multifamily sales, ranging from groundup development sites to stabilized assets and everything in between. Benton has unique experience dealing with complex transactions and also breaking sales records in numerous submarkets throughout Southern California, having completed over $2.5 billion of transactions in his career.
Benton is a Los Angeles native with an extensive and intimate knowledge of Southern California and its real estate fundamentals. He is uniquely qualified to fit within the existing culture at Newmark and brings outstanding value through his market knowledge and trusted relationships.
Benton returns to Newmark from JLL, where he worked as a Senior Vice President. Prior to that, Benton worked at CBRE on the institutional multifamily team.
Education
Benton received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a major in Marketing and a minor in Management from the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado.
