Carlos Sánchez joined Newmark in May 2019 and currently serves as Managing Director for Incentives in the firm’s Economic Development Advisory practice within Newmark’s Global Strategy and Consulting, Occupier Services division. In this role, Sánchez aids corporate clients in their expansion and site selection processes to apply for support programs that can greatly benefit their operations. Sánchez is located in Newmark’s Mexico City office.
Sánchez has extensive experience in the promotion and implementation of foreign direct investment (FDI) projects in Mexico. Prior to joining Newmark, Sánchez was based in London and Frankfurt while serving as Regional Director for Europe and Africa at ProMexico, the Mexican organization in charge of promoting trade and investment. In this role, Sánchez identified, defined and implemented strategies to increase and promote the economic relationship between Europe/Mexico and Africa/Mexico, which included strategies for foreign direct investment, export promotion and internationalization of Mexican companies with/in both Europe and Africa. Sánchez was responsible for helping Mexican companies increase their exports to traditional and nontraditional markets and for finding business opportunities for new markets to develop export-oriented activities
Sánchez’s understanding in new market development for Mexican companies, high level stakeholder involvement in various countries in the region as well as the coordination and implementation of high impact events has allowed him to develop a vast network of contacts.
Sánchez has also served in state-level government economic development and in the marketing department of Philips Medical Systems in Germany.
