Recent transactions: IDB Bank – 400 Avenue U, Gravesend Brooklyn- 2,700 SF, The Workshop Project, Inc. – 495 Flatbush Avenue, Brooklyn – 10,000 SF Middle School, Japan Village, Sunrise Mart – 253 36th Street and 934 Third Avenue, Brooklyn – 30,000 SF Market and Food Hall; subsequently Japan Village expanded to another 20,000 SF on the 2nd floor for a center for exploring Japanese art, lifestyle ad culture, Dixie BBQ – 1316 Avenue J, Flatbush Brooklyn – 3,000 SF, 358 Grove Street, Bushwick Brooklyn, Kids Canvas, 5,283 SF, White Castle, 1232 Surf Avenue, Coney Island Brooklyn, 2,250 SF, 319 Graham Avenue in Williamsburg, Trakhtenberg represented Home Union, a mid-century furniture and home goods retailer for their 3,400-square-foot lease. Aric possesses detailed knowledge of New York City’s commercial corridors and insights into retail trends; utilizing and updating Newmark’s propriety data and retail maps. He’s responsible for a portfolio of assets on behalf of institutional and publicly traded landlords as well multiple family estates and private owners who are rooted in NYC real estate investments. Experienced in new construction development planning, Aric has consulted and facilitated deals with developers involving HPD, HDC and NYC Housing Partnership funds; as well as navigating complex deals involving SoHo Landmark and Historic district laws and regulations. Aric joined Newmark in 2019, when parent company Newmark Group, Inc. acquired RKF Holdings LLC. Prior to joining RKF, Aric worked at Eastern Consolidated Properties LLC, where he began his real estate career joining the Investment Sales training program; working alongside principals of the company focused on Investment Sales and long-term ground leases.
Aric is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY). He is a licensed real estate salesperson in the state of New York.
Aric graduated with Phi Theta Kappa honors in liberal arts from Kingsborough Community College. He has a BA in Speech Communication Studies from Brooklyn College.
