Newmark’s Global Corporate Services (GCS) announces the relocation of the Atlantic Coast Conference’s (ACC) headquarters to Charlotte, North Carolina. The ACC will locate its office in the Bank of America Tower at Legacy Union in Uptown Charlotte, specifically selected to fulfill its future goals. The relocation will take place over the 2022-23 academic year.
Newmark GCS’s Global Consulting practice—consisting of Location Strategy, Site Selection, Workplace Strategy & Human Experience and Economic Incentives experts—and Newmark‘s Charlotte, North Carolina office assisted in leading the evaluation of and represented the ACC in the lease transaction.
“This decision results from months of comprehensive, data-driven assessments in collaboration with the ACC Board of Directors and Executive Committee. The move to Charlotte ensures that the ACC’s headquarters is well positioned for the future,” said Bob Hess, Vice Chairman of Newmark GCS’s Global Consulting. “This was an important decision for the league. The relocation to Charlotte will add incredible value to the community, the conference’s 15 member institutions and its student-athletes.”
“We are honored to have been selected to lead the execution of this complex, multi-phase assignment. We congratulate the ACC on the selection of its new home in Charlotte,” added John Longshore, Senior Managing Director of Global Consulting.
