I am a Senior Associate at Newmark’s London office, specialising in business rates services for landlord and occupier clients. I have expertise in delivering a varied scope of service, ranging from refurbishment and redevelopment work to serviced office strategy and valuation negotiations, seeking the best result for my clients.
I have in-depth knowledge of the case law surrounding redevelopments, refurbishments, and demolitions. I seek the best possible removal dates when deleting properties from the Rating List and thus significantly reducing the amount of the client’s liability.
Having been deeply involved in local taxation, I developed my skills over several years, giving me experience on rating appeals over multiple rating lists. I am skilled in both negotiating with the Valuation Office Agency (VOA) and in navigating the Check, Challenge, Appeal (CCA) Portal and process.
In addition to being member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), I am also a RICS registered Valuer, a trained APC Assessor for the RICS and an associate member of the Rating Surveyors Association.
