Stephen Provancher serves as a Managing Director in the Milwaukee office of Newmark. An active leader in the industrial segment, Provancher advises his clients about acquisitions, dispositions, site selections, lease negotiations, real estate strategies and financial analysis. He also has expertise in selling investment properties and has successfully worked on projects within the office and retail segments along with property management.
Provancher joined Newmark in 2019, following its acquisition of Milwaukee-based MLG Commercial. He began his commercial real estate career at MLG Commercial in 2000, and he was named a principal of the firm in 2004. During his tenure at MLG Commercial, he completed transactions with a combined value of $350 million.
Prior to his real estate career, Provancher worked for more than 10 years as a commercial lender with US Bank and JP Morgan/Chase Bank. His banking background gave him valuable experience working with various types and sizes of companies, ranging from new startups to large Fortune 500 companies. His prior banking experience along with his finance degree has given him an advantage over other commercial brokers as he assists his clients in structuring appropriate financing to support their growth.
Provancher attributes his success in commercial real estate to his dedication to the industry, strong work ethic and the relationships he has developed throughout his banking and real estate careers. These factors along with his continued networking have enabled him to strengthen his existing relationships while establishing new relationships throughout the real estate industry.
