Before joining Newmark, Roy held senior research and advisory positions at CBRE, where he oversaw market outlooks, forecasts, and major publications, and delivered tailored advisory work for developers, institutional investors, occupiers, and private capital. He worked closely with brokerage and capital markets teams to translate research into practical, client‑ready insights, and regularly presented findings to senior clients and internal leadership.
Roy also brings experience from Sun Hung Kai Properties, where he was part of the Corporate Planning and Strategic Investment team. In this role, he supported senior management through detailed market analysis, site and tender evaluations, and investment due diligence across Hong Kong and overseas markets.
Earlier in his career, Roy gained broad regional exposure through research and expansion roles at Compass Offices and Judd Farris Recruitment, building depth in market analytics, financial modelling, and Asia Pacific real estate trends. He is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and is an established research voice within the industry.
