Rachel Schmidt, CCIM, joined Newmark in 2019, following its acquisition of MLG Commercial. An industry veteran with more than 26 years of experience, Ms. Schmidt has a diverse background that includes landlord and tenant representation, buyer and seller representation, vacant land site selection, investments and senior housing. Ms. Schmidt joined MLG Commercial as a part-time intern in 1992 and became a full-time associate upon graduation. Her experience in the many facets of real estate advisory work allows her to provide her clients with the full range of options available for meeting their real estate needs.

- Represented Telling The Truth in the nonprofit’s relocation from downtown Milwaukee to Brookfield, which reduced occupancy and parking costs
- Represented Gierke Frank in the law firm’s relocation to Wauwatosa and creation of a trendy “Third Ward/ downtown” office suite within a suburban office building
As a landlord representative:
- Represented Ruekert Mielke as it downsized at its corporate headquarters and negotiated with new tenants to fill the 35,000 square feet in the building
- Represented Broe Real Estate Group after its purchase of a TIC-owned Class A property to reposition the asset, make common area improvements and add amenities, and lease to Class A tenants

- Represented the owner in the sale of a 119,000 SF Brookfield Class A office investment to California investment for more than $10 million
- Represented the Ridgeview Dental Group partnership in the sale of its corporate headquarters to new partners in Menomonee Falls, WI
- Represented Victory Church in the sale of its 36-acre excess land parcel not used for congregational expansion in Menomonee Falls

- Represented Ehlers and Associates in the purchase of its corporate headquarters in Pewaukee, WI
- Represented MLG Capital in the purchase of a repurposed grocery retail property to their corporate headquarters in Brookfield, WI
- Represented plastic surgeon Dr. Maida Parkins in the purchase of a restaurant repurposed as a high-end medical and surgical center on the lake in Oconomowoc
