Phillip O’Bannon serves as Senior Managing Director and Head of Infrastructure Capital Markets at Newmark. O’Bannon specializes in capital formation, financings, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic advisory, having advised on and executed over $50B of global infrastructure transactions. His proven track record includes more than 60GW of power generation capacity and $25B of regulated utility rate base.
Based in the New York City headquarters, O’Bannon works across data centers, power and utilities, energy transition, ports, and other large-scale infrastructure sectors. A seasoned financial services professional with over a decade of transaction experience, O’Bannon recently served as Director in Citigroup’s Power & Utilities Investment Banking group. He began his professional career at Lockheed Martin, where he led mechanical engineering efforts for advanced submarine defense systems.

O’Bannon received a Master of Business Administration from Darden School of Business and graduated cum laude from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering.
