Prior to joining Newmark in 1999, Noel Flagg was a principal at Douglas Elliman Commercial for seven years. Previously, he was the staff executive who coordinated all national sales efforts for Elliman’s national partnership, CRESA (Corporate Real Estate Service Advisors), at the time the largest strategic partnership of real estate providers in the United States. His primary function is tenant representation.
Over the past 15 years, Mr. Flagg consummated transactions in excess of 10 million sf. He has been the exclusive broker/consultant to many international banks, financial institutions and governmental agencies and has recently completed or is currently working on leases and/or sales transactions for the Permanent Mission of the United Kingdom to the United Nations (50,000 sf) and the British Consulate General (50,000 sf), the Permanent Mission of Finland to the United Nations and Consulate General of Finland (40,000 sf), the Permanent Mission of Sweden to the United Nations and Consulate General Of Sweden (40,000 sf), the Permanent Mission of Mexico to the United Nations (40,000 sf) and Consulate General of Mexico (20,000 sf), and a new lease for Toronto Dominion Securities (100,000 sf), Other recent Mission, Consulate and NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) representation work includes: Malawi, Kenya, Angola and the B’ahai Faith.
Other significant recent transactions include a 180,000 sf lease for Warnaco, an IBM sublease disposition of 250,000 square feet, a new lease for the Atlanta based law firm Alston & Bird for 175,000 square feet, and National Geographic’s lease for 40,000 square feet. Each of these requirements had important technical issues that had to be addressed (i.e., power, air conditioning, space for a satellite dish, emergency generators, redundant power, uninterrupted power system, etc.).
Mr. Flagg served on the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan Business Network, a politically driven local business group. Active memberships include The Mexican-American Chamber of Commerce, The Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce, The Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce, the Institute of International Bankers (IIB), and the New York Bankers Association (NYBA). He is currently on the Membership Committee at Scarsdale Golf Club.
Mr. Flagg graduated from Syracuse University in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the School of Management and from the Newhouse School with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications. He also participated in Syracuse University’s Division of International Programs Abroad (DIPA), studying in Amsterdam. He remains very active in alumni activities.
