Neal Armstrong is Head of Fund Administration at Newmark, where he leads the firm’s newly launched fund administration business within its Investor Solutions platform. With more than two decades of experience in fund services, Armstrong brings extensive expertise in fund accounting and financial reporting, and business and product development, having worked with and served numerous global real estate managers.
Prior to joining Newmark, Armstrong served as Global Head of Real Estate Fund Services at BNY, where he played a central role in scaling the platform’s assets under administration from $45 billion to more than $160 billion. Over nearly a decade with the firm, he held senior leadership positions in operations, product, relationship management, and business development. Armstrong also previously led North America Fund Finance at Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management (formerly RREEF) and began his career in assurance at KPMG.
At Newmark, Armstrong is responsible for building and scaling the firm’s fund administration platform, a strategic business line that complements Newmark’s global managed services, capital markets, and investor advisory capabilities. His leadership focuses on enhancing operational efficiency, transparency and scalability for clients across the real estate investment spectrum.
Armstrong is a CPA and has been involved with the Accounting Committee of the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries (NCREIF) since 2000 serving as Chair in 2011 and 2012 and Vice Chair in 2009 and 2010. He was appointed to the NCREIF Board in November 2018 and serves as Treasurer.

Armstrong obtained his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Valparaiso University.
