Monique Rafferty joined Newmark in 2019 as vice president for business development and marketing. Based in the firm’s New York headquarters, Monique works with brokerage professionals and clients to develop pitches, presentations and campaigns for new business efforts, property marketing and sales. Monique also manages and executes the marketing needs for Newmark’s New York office through close collaboration with both regional marketing teams across the nation and the brand design, public relations and research teams in New York.
Energetic and passionate, Monique thrives on the pace and challenges presented in the always evolving real estate market. She leads Newmark’s marketing and business development teams in the creation of customized property marketing materials; the creation, implementation and promotion of a business development platform to drive revenue growth and client engagement; and the implementation of integrated campaigns in support of lead generation.
Prior to Newmark, Monique served as director of marketing for William Pitt - Julia B. Fee Sotheby’s International Realty, one of the largest Sotheby’s International Realty affiliates. In this position, she was responsible for all brand, property and agent marketing initiatives across 27 brokerages throughout Westchester County, New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts.
Previously, Monique was regional marketing manager for William Pitt - Julia B. Fee Sotheby’s International Realty. From 2014 to 2016, she partnered with the firm’s brokerage managers and brokers on day-to-day marketing initiatives for the five Westchester County brokerages. She was also responsible for marketing more than $400 million in new developments in New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts.
Monique’s real estate career began in 2011, when she joined William Pitt -Julia B. Fee Sotheby’s International Realty in Rye, New York.
Education
Monique graduated from Manhattanville College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in business management and marketing. While attending the college, she was also a member of its NCAA women’s ice hockey team for four years. She led the team as a captain to multiple Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) East tournaments and national championships. Monique was also a member of ECAC Hockey’s women’s All-Academic team throughout her tenure.
