Michael Cervenka joined Newmark in 2019 as a financial analyst for the Multifamily Capital Markets team based in Austin, Texas. He is responsible for the underwriting, financial analysis, market research, and due diligence of multifamily assets in the Central Texas region, including Austin and San Antonio. Cervenka is involved in all aspects of the disposition process and works closely with clients in supporting the team’s valuation and marketing efforts.
Prior to joining the firm, Cervenka worked for Wentwood Capital Advisors, a Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) asset and fund manager where he helped lead the valuation team in the underwriting of the company’s portfolio and was responsible for the underwriting of potential acquisitions.
Education
Cervenka received his Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP) certification and is currently a Level 2 Candidate in his pursuit to become a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). He graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance from Texas State University.
