Michael Drowne joined Newmark in 2012 and currently serves as Global Director of Engineering for Newmark’s Occupier Services Facilities Management service line. Responsibilities include development of the Operational Excellence platform and corporate programs in the areas of engineering, critical environments, sustainability and workplace safety. A 35-year corporate real estate veteran, Mr. Drowne has substantial expertise in facilities and project management in the commercial, industrial, healthcare and hospitality sectors. He has managed over 100 MSF of commercial and industrial properties and completed over $1.8B in construction. Michael is based in the New York office.
Mr. Drowne came to Newmark during the acquisition of Grubb & Ellis in 2012, where he served for ten years as Vice President, Corporate Director of Engineering, responsible for policy development, technical leadership, subject matter expertise and providing corporate technical support to all facilities, property and project management accounts. Prior to this position, Mr. Drowne was Regional Director of Operations responsible for the financial and operational performance of Grubb & Ellis offices throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions (42 MSF).
