writing about market trends and forecasts; and effectively displaying
information graphically.

Minneapolis-St. Paul office of Colliers International, most recently as Director of Research. In this role, she was responsible for market research and
geographic information systems (GIS) services, including the production of
quarterly reports on the local commercial real estate market. She began her
tenure as research manager.
Prior to Colliers, Carland worked for more than six and a half
years as an independent consultant specializing in commercial real estate
research for key Minneapolis-St. Paul industry organizations including the
Minnesota Commercial Association of Realtors® (MNCAR), Minnesota Shopping
Center Association (MSCA) and National Association of Industrial and Office
Properties (NAIOP).
Carland began her career in real estate at United Properties where
she worked for 10 years. As Information Services Manager, she oversaw the
production of market research and GIS analytics, including a semi-annual
office, retail and industrial market report.
A leader in the local commercial real estate community, Carland is
a member of the Minnesota Commercial Association of Realtors (MNCAR) where she
previously led and is a current member of its research advisory board. Carland holds a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation and is an active
