Matthew Walaszek serves as Senior Vice President of Operations, Industrial and Logistics at Newmark. Based in Chicago (Rosemont, IL), Walaszek leads the growth and optimization of the national industrial platform which includes 400+ brokerage professionals. He specializes in scaling business performance, driving cross-functional initiatives, and aligning strategy with execution to deliver superior client outcomes.
With more than 12 years of experience in commercial real estate – spanning market intelligence, research, project management, and data analytics – Walaszek brings a hands-on, holistic, results-oriented approach to the evolving industrial and logistics service offering. Prior to his current role, he served as Research Director at CBRE Investment Management, where he led the firm’s logistics research platform.
Outside of work, he enjoys the outdoors, running, and road trips with his family. Walaszek lives in Chicago with his wife and two children.

Walaszek holds a Bachelor of Arts from Loyola University New Orleans and a Master’s degree in Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
