Karolina Król-Skowyrska serves as Director in the Global Strategy Consulting practice within Newmark. In her current role, Skowyrska focuses on location strategy, financial incentives and site selection for private sector companies.
Skowyrska joined Newmark after serving as a Manager at Polish Agency of Investment and Trade, where she led state aid team. She has played active role in shaping Polish investment incentives, issued recommendations to the Minister of Economy regarding providing public support for projects and conducted trainings on state aid issues. Skowyrska has been involved in numerous FDI decision-making processes, advising companies from various sectors.
Previously, Skowyrska also worked in the Ministry of Economy in Poland, was EC Blue Book trainee in DG Sante in Brussels, Belgium, as well as worked in a law firm. She speaks Polish, English and German, and also has a communicative knowledge of Spanish.

Education
Skowyrska graduated from Warsaw University, Poland where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and a Master of Laws. She also holds an LL.M.’s degree (Master of Laws) from University of Bonn, Germany. Skowyrska completed her doctoral studies at the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw, and she graduated from European Academy of Diplomacy – Academy of Young Diplomats Program.
