Karis Kim is the Head of Retail, Tenant Representation at Newmark Korea. Karis represents leading global retail brands expanding into the Korean market, providing comprehensive services that cover market research, expansion planning, and lease negotiations. She has built a solid track record of helping brands establish a meaningful presence in Korea through thoughtful strategy and hands-on execution.
A key milestone in her career was serving as the sole broker for Apple, completing six flagship store transactions that helped define the brand’s retail footprint in Korea. Karis works closely with senior executives from global brands, from luxury groups such as LVMH, Kering to Alo Yoga, offering clear, data-based insights and practical solutions. Known for her collaborative approach and steady negotiation skills, she connects clients, landlords, and partners to achieve outcomes that balance brand vision with long-term value.
Prior to joining Newmark, she was a Senior Manager on Cushman & Wakefield Korea’s Cross-Border Team and began her career in journalism, combining analytical insight with clear communication.

Karis earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism from Syracuse University.
