Karen Bellantoni is a vice chairman with Newmark, specializing in both tenant and landlord representation in New York City and other U.S. urban markets. Ms. Bellantoni brings to her position more than three decades of retail real estate and merchandising experience.
As a tenant representative, Ms. Bellantoni is responsible for implementing the national and regional strategic plans and rollouts for an impressive list of retailers, including Everafter, The Frye Company, J.Crew, Land’s End, Madewell, Tumi, Ugg and The Westside. Throughout the U.S., she arranged more than 25 transactions on behalf of Intermix and secured multiple locations for Elie Tahari and L’Oréal brands The Body Shop, Kiehl’s and NYX Professional Makeup. In New York City, Ms. Bellantoni represented J.Crew in the leasing of several Manhattan locations for its multiple concepts.
Ms. Bellantoni has also arranged many individual transactions for other retailers, including Aerie, Aritzia, Lucky Brand, lululemon and Outdoor Voices and Sam Edleman, throughout the various submarkets of Manhattan.
Ms. Bellantoni has represented numerous owners throughout Manhattan. Among her notable assignments are consulting with Related Companies on the Time Warner Center; representing TF Cornerstone in leasing 90 and 100 Gansevoort Street to Allouche Gallery, By Killian, Christian Louboutin Men’s and Intermix; successfully leasing 40 Mercer Street on behalf of Hines and Andre Balazs to Bose, Dermalogica, Vivienne Tam and Wachovia; representing Taconic Investment Partners and ING Clarion in leasing 401 West 14th Street to Hugo Boss, Moschino and Tudor Investment Corporation; merchandising and leasing Chelsea Market on behalf of Jamestown Properties; and arranging a 16,153-square-foot lease with Anthropologie. She also served as an advisor to the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey for the World Trade Center redevelopment.
Ms. Bellantoni is a licensed real estate salesperson in the state of New York. She is also a member of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
Ms. Bellantoni earned a Bachelor of Science degree in communications from Ohio University.
